HOME OWNERS FORUM

• Frank Best brought the matter of speeding to the attention of the meeting.
• There was a discussion re the benefits of bringing back speed bumps to slow speed of traffic along Waters Edge Lane. Members to educate family and friends re the seriousness of speeding in the neighbourhood. Situation to be reviewed at the next meeting.
• Tim to circulate a warning notice in the cluster announcement bulletin.

President's Report (Tim Cohn)

• Neighbourhood Watch is still seeking a representative for the cluster. Meetings are held monthly.
• Tim to contact Mary Buff re representation.
• Troutman and Sanders lawyer (a specialist in handling home owner matters) has met with committee members and legal proceedings have commenced in the matter of Lot 24 Block 2A. All cluster documentation is in order to start legal action.
• Tim reported that he and Alex have removed the basketball net rubbish.
• Tim will be ordering new recycle bins for everyone. Cost of bins is covered by BFI contract.
• Recycling and trash pick up has been trouble free in the past month

Treasurer's Report

• A motion of appreciation was expressed for the care and effort made by the audit committee in their report. Seconded and passed without objection
• Audit committee recommends that an audit of records be done by a professional to provide new treasurer with problem-free books.
• Recommends that a professional auditor should set up an audit model for the cluster which would be user friendly. Bill Jackman or Gaylon to be approached re use of Quicken files.
• Audit report is to be discussed at the next meeting
• Frank Best has served his term as treasurer and offered his resignation effective November 1.
• New treasurer is to be elected in the Fall election

Sign Report

• Signs: Bill reports that sign are large enough but may need to have posts painted brown and lowering height from 12 to 7 inches. Bill to do stencil for numbers on curb. Bill is yet to contact the Fire Marshall to approve the position and size of signs
• Tim expressed thanks to Bill for his work on the signs.

Landscape Report

• Pat Lenz not available to give report.
• Cluster clean up needs to try and gather additional people and invite new residents to assist on designated clean up days.
• Torn turf has been repaired by Lakeview Condominium contractor
• Dying trees need to be checked with Windermere and Lakeside Cluster

New Business

Andrew suggested that lines on road need to be repainted. Andrew to contact appropriate company. Seconded with objection
